New at this...

I'm pretty new to all this so my page probably looks abysmal compared to the more experienced bloggers creations. I apologise in advance.

A small introduction...

I have just celebrated my 21st birthday and I'm looking forward to another craft (and mess) filled year.
I live with my dad and younger sister in Liverpool with our German Shepperd dog, Paddy. We love him to bits (don't believe the rummors lol) even though he nickname is 'The Swine' but he's so adorable I can't stay mad at him for long.
As I've already mentioned in my 'about me' part, I've been crafting since I was a child. My passion has only grown stronger through the years and I'm always searching for inspiration and fresh challenges. I love nothing more than waking up early on my day off to craft none stop untill my eyes water and fingers shrivel up in fear!
I completed my first ever exploding box for my mum on mothers day, she was so grateful and I felt a huge sense of accomplishment that I was able to present her with a keepsake instead of flowers that would die within days.
The main thing I love about crafting is the smiles and gratatude you receive back in turn, it makes the dark times worthwhile.
I am looking forward to the crafting exhibitions at Manchester Central at the end of August. I attended the one back in february and enjoyed it immensely. I deaply hope this one will live up to my expectations or I will have to drown my sorrows with some new craft goodies. Maybe I'll do that anyway! :o)

At the moment I am really struck by the effects of aging and destressing. I love anything vintage - it ooze's sophistication and memories of a long lost era. I love the way even the plainest of images can send my imagination into meltdown, sometimes I can barely keep up with myself! I'm also captivated by all Oriental themes. The classic elegance that is portrayed by their society is truley inspirational and fills my heart with wonder.

I hope you haven't been too bored listening to me groaning on and getting all inspired as I type! I hope to hear from a few more like minded crafters who just love to create.
